How to Get from Bangkok to Phuket by Plane?
There are two airports in Bangkok:
- Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK)
- Don Mueang International Airport (DMK)
After choosing the airport transportation, flight times, and prices according to your travel plan, you can reach Phuket after about a 1.5-hour flight. This also answers the question “How long is the flight from Bangkok to Phuket?” 🙂
(Don Mueang Airport Terminal 2)
We used Don Mueang Airport when traveling from Bangkok to Phuket. It was about a 30-minute taxi ride from our hotel. Our flight departed from Terminal 2. Since it’s a large area, it’s important to check your terminal information to avoid missing your flight.
The check-in counters are located on the 2nd floor. We checked in at the Nok Air counter and had our baggage checked. If you haven’t purchased any package, they accept 7 kg of cabin baggage. We had to transfer some items from our baggage to our backpacks 🙂
Afterward, boarding started, and we boarded the plane. However, if you have time, there are places in the airport where you can get a massage. They are slightly cheaper than those in central Bangkok; for example, a foot massage was 250 THB. We recommend taking advantage of this opportunity before your journey 🙂
